It’s the first day of the month, wow can you believe it is already September?! Before you know it Christmas is upon us once again. My little girl will be two years old next month, woah how did that happen? Time flew! I was here with her every single day but then I blinked and soon she’ll be two years old. I’m not very much into planning each detail of her party this time around. Last year around June I was already checking out party supplies, buying them off Ebay and then getting them from the US to here. It was fun but it was a lot of work. This year we decided to have a simple celebration and splurge on shopping for the little girl afterwards. She had a great party last year but it took a lot of time, effort (and money) so we’ll be doing it differently this time.
I’ve already booked KFC for her party venue weeks ago. Yes her party will be at KFC, no fuss just plain ol’ fun and chicken (lol). It would be a Jungle themed party, I wouldn’t have chosen this theme myself but well they didn’t have anything else so I’ll just make it a bit girly through the invites and lootbags. There are invitation and lootbags included in the package but well I don’t like those so I’ll do my own…hehehe. I also didn’t get the cake from them, I want a 3d cake same as her christening and first birthday cakes so I’ll get it from my trusted supplier. It is so much easier this time because the package comes with the party host with games and mascot appearance, I don’t have to hire a clown like her first birthday. I think the cake will personalized the party a bit so that’s nice but aside from that everything will be easy going on my part. On her actual birthday we plan to celebrate a little here at home too, I’ll order a cute little cake she can blow and whip something up in the kitchen (I make good spaghetti) and probably order some takeout like pizza. I just didn’t want her real birthday to pass by without celebrating even a little bit.
I think that’s about it for now. I’m just browsing online for possible ideas I could incorporate to her party.
Yes my little girl loves to swim. She enjoys the water so much that it is difficult to take her off the pool when it’s time to shower. This photo was taken last Saturday at the pool of Orchard Parade Hotel. You can view more photos here. I decided to take the family there for no reason at all (lol), it was really unplanned but it turned out great. I will definitely do this again. Surprise my husband with bags packed and only tell him where we’re going afterwards. We had the pool to ourselves that morning and the little girl had so much fun.
How cute are these little baby shoes? They’re incredibly cute is you ask me. I remembered having a pair like this when my little girl was a baby. It’s just too bad that she grew out of it so quickly and didn’t have photos of her wearing this precious little pair of shoes. I’ve recieved several personalized new baby gifts when my daugther was born and I thought it was really sweet. It is nice to receive gifts but it is wonderful to have personalized gifts for baby, it is like more thought was put into it. I especially adore handmade things. If I knew how to crochet I would have made little booties, mittens and hands to friends but I dont’ so I’ll settle for scrapbook pages instead. I think customized baby gifts are something any mom would want to receive for their newborn. Something that will be cherished and remembered more than the generic store bought gifts, I know I treasure all of my daughter’s gifts and kept those that were handmade especially for her. These shoes are just so exquisite and I would love to give this as a give one day when I have friends expecting their little ones.

I can’t believe my little girl is now twenty two months old, in less than two months I will have a two year old toddler! Now when did that happen? Where was the tiny baby I helf in my arms after sixteen hours of labor? I have the photos and clearly she’s not that teeny tiny person anymore. When she was a baby though I was fortunate that she didn’t have colic.
At two months old she was sleeping through the night and would cry only for milk then goes back to sleep after she’s been fed and burped. I didn’t even know what is gripe water at that time. We never used it before but I do see it that baby section of the grocery store and pharmacies. When my friends tell me how difficult and frustrating it can get having a baby with colic. When I saw an Eye Opening Colic Video it caught me by surprised.
Now I understand and I realized how fortunate we were that we didn’t have to deal with it. And now that’s she’s not a little baby anymore we deal with different issues like setting the perfect sleeping pattern for her and making sure we follow through. There are nights when it is a challenge too but I think it is totally different from dealing with colic so it’s not so bad at all.
If you are in our house you will here a little voice calling for Mommy very often. The little girl seem to need me for something all the time, hehehe I don’t mind though. Last night we were watching the finals of Rhythmic Gymnastics and she was playing with her magnets, it is flat so she couldn’t take if off…she knew I was sitting behind her so she looked at me and said “Mommy! Mommy!” with her ever so cute voice. Repeat that around six times and you’ll get the picture. Yes it can be tiring to do the same thing over and over but it just makes me feel happy when she calls for me, or she wants my help with something. She plays on her own these days but when there is something she can’t do she will call me to help her. Sometimes I really hope she would just stay little and call for mommy everytime she needs help. I love being Mommy.
Having a child makes me think about school, how will both of us cope and all the other things related to education. I know I won’t have to worry about this anytime soon since she will only be joining a playgroup in months to come but still it makes me wonder. I remember by days as a student, I have a lot of fond and happy memories. My college years was one of the best years of my life, I had such great friends whom I’m still friends with and we were all really close. Yes we spent Fridays catching a movie at the theatre or bar hopping til early morning but we also spent a lot of sleepless nights doing our projects. All the research papers we had to do as a group and on our own, all the Compare And Contrast Essay we had to prepare for and submit on time. There was so much pressure and it was stressful at times. If only we knew about buy essay at that time, it would have been a great help to me and my classmates. Since Masterpapers completes a huge number of essays per year I would say they’re very reliable when it comes to custom writing and I wouldn’t have any doubt getting their services. It would have spared me a lot of stress back then.
Thanks Kathy for this one

Yes, I bought our first set of children’s book when I was pregnant. I would read to the little girl in my tummy when I could.
Well she can’t read yet but she likes flipping her books from page to page. If you look at her you’d think she can read. She can recognize pictures from her books and would tell me what it is. I read to her as long as I got her attention. Reading for me is a fun activity I don’t force her to sit beside me to finish a whole story if she doesn’t want to. I want it to be interactive too, sometimes she’s the one telling the story
Here she is enjoying one of her LeapPad books. We got her this for Christmas and she loves it. She also has boardbooks on all sorts of topics like colors, animals, abc and numbers. We also have storybooks and activity books for her. All the books we got for her are new.
