What’s your name? Eeeyah.

How old are you? Tuuuu.

Where do you live? Here (lol).

We can understand a lot of her words more clearly these days. We talk as well. I love hearing her answer my questions. She get frustrated sometimes when I can’t understand what she is trying to say, this little girl likes to tell stories. She reads her books after playtime and it is as if she can actually read. She loves to draw and dance. She imitates us a lot, what we’re doing and how we talk. She loves asking me “wah happen” and ask me to “come on” with her all the time. In two weeks she’ll be my two year old toddler.

Birthday Outfits

DSC02047

This really pretty pink tutu arrived was delivered to our house yesterday. It came with two customized shirts as well. I couldn’t find any cheap t-shirts but I’m so glad I got a custom made tees for the little girl instead. It fits her perfectly and it was nicely made. She will have a princess party on her actual birthday and she will wear this tutu and a tee that says “Birthday Girl”. On her birthday celebration I got her a custom made tee that says “I’m Two” and a comfy pair of jeans or a skirt with leggings maybe I’m not sure yet. I can’t believe that tomorrow is already October, her special day is just a few short weeks away.

First Kiddie Meal

Posted in Baby Memorables | No Comments »

Last September 18th and little girl and I went to the mall. We had an early dinner and Swensens wasn’t crowded yet. She sat down beside me (we didn’t ask for a high chair) and since she was busy looking at the menu I decided to order her a meal for herself. It was her first kiddie meal ever. Usually when we dine out it’s either I bring food for her from home or just share with her what I’m having.

She loved looking at the menu. The staff let her hold it the whole time we where there. It was as if she can read, she was telling me what each dish was.

Her first kiddie meal. I ordered ham & cheese omelette, corn and star shape potato wedge (or something I can’t remember) and apple juice. She finished the star shaped potatoes, half of the corn and maybe 2/3 of the omelette. It was nice because she was behaved the whole time and I was able to enjoy my food too. I think we will be doing this more often.

Speedtest

It is a boring afternoon and while I was browsing through some Swiss Army luggage I stumbled upon online I decided to take the speed test to see how am I still doing after years of not practicing and guess what, I’m slow…lol. Oh well I’m not surprised because like I said I’m out of practice. I dont’t really need to type fast anymore and in what I do it’s more of clicking the mouse. Take the speed test too if you want to find out if you’re fast or slow like me.

Busy Mommy

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Sorry for the lack of updates I’m just so busy these days. Well I’m always busy running around the house with Iyah but I have other things I’m working on that keeps me occupied as well. I wish I could blog more about the little girl because she’s growing up so fast and picking up a lot of words and antics lately. I have pictures to share too and we had an interesting week that I have yet to blog (in my other blog). I just want to say that all is good in our side of the world.

Thoughts on children and donations

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I really feel bad about the whole milk/dairy products recall that is happening in China right now. Having a child of my own thinking of the poor babies that suffered and are still suffering because of this makes me sad. Thousands of children are affected by this, and the thought that thing whole thing could have been prevented if only the people responsible for this used their better judgement and not put poisonous substance in their products to save money, sigh I hope none of them don’t have children of their own that are taking infant formula. I wish this whole thing gets sorted out soon, of course I worry too eventhough we’re back here. I’ve received an email that there are three products being sold here that are among the dairy products being recalled. I’m so glad we don’t have those at home but I’ll stay clear of anything is made from China for now. Reading about these online lead to me other searches, and that’s where I found out about boat donations. Basically there is a group uses funds from those who donate boat to help with their charity work. They help feed the hungry and young orphans. They also help create awareness by making children’s animations and anti-drug documentaries. They also accept car donations as well. I think it is great that there are still people in this world that are genuinely concerned about the less fortunate and the needy. I think it is a selfless act to devote time and money to help others that needs it the most. I readlly admire those people. Back in college we did some charity work as well, nuns manages our school so we participated in a lot of fund raising activities back then. I wish I could do that again.

You and Your Mom Are Completely Different

At times, it seems like you and your mom aren’t even related.

You often wonder how two people from the same family can be so different.

As the saying goes… you can pick your friends, but not your relatives.

Stopitt

Posted in Baby Memorables | No Comments »

Today I finally got what she was trying to say. The little girl talks a lot these days, she’s learning new words each day and while I can understand her most of the time sometimes there are words or sentences that we clearly cannot comprehend. She been saying “stopitt” a lot of times,  to me, to her daddy and even to my sister. I never realized what it meant until today. You see she utter this word whenever she didn’t like what was being done to her (like me hugging her tightly and giving her lots of kisses), I never understood it meant “Stop It” until now (LOL). Looks like I have to work harder in understanding what she is trying to say, hehehe. I know she’ll be talking straight sooner or later but for now I will remember to “stopitt” when she ask me to do so.

A little girl’s own room?

Posted in Articles | No Comments »

I’ve been thinking about setting up the little girl her very own bedroom now that she’s turning two. She’s been co-sleeping with us since the day she was born. We have a crib but she never really liked being in it so it was almost never used except for putting some of her toys and books. Now we converted the crib into a bed and she spends a lot of time there drawing, reading books and playing. I’ve looked at Kids Bedroom furniture and there’s a lot of pretty designs available for little girls like mine. I’m not sure how ready she is sleeping on her own but still have her own room to put all her things in would be nice. Right now she have a full closet and while it is nice I would love to have a bigger one for her since I love shopping for her. Wooden Childrens Furniture seems like a good idea to me. I would love for it to be painted white though as I want the walls of her room to be pink or light yellow. A Kids Desk is a must because this little girl loves to doodle and she’s getting the hang of it too. I will have to post some photos of her recent drawings next time to show you how good she’s getting. I have to tell my husband about me plan, let’s see what he thinks…

Planning a birthday updates

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

Birthday clothes - checked. I ordered the little girl’s birthday outfits a few days ago and it should be shipped today. I do hope it fits her nicely and everything looks great.

Guestbook album - checked. We went to the mall yesterday and I stopped by my local scrapbook store and got me several chipboard albums including a scroll binder album which I will use for the guestbook. I also got the template to make the pages. I should start doing that.

Props for picture taking - got one and it’s a wooden number two. I have to decorate that with patterned papers then make a party hat too.
