I can’t wait until my little girl is big enough for us to start collecting things. She’s at the age where she get the thrill out of throwing her toys so it’s not a good time yet. I would love for us to have a Littlest Pet Shop collection. Just look at the adorable little dog above, I don’t have to buy any dog supplies for it. Sometimes my husband teases me that it will be my collection and not our daughter’s because I’m so into it as well. That’s hard to say that I won’t love it too but I’m sure the little girl would enjoy playing with it as well.
My sister and I have been thinking about the coming holidays and what our plans would be. My mom and sister decided not to come here in December but wait for my dad to get home then come here with him. So now we’re left with just us on the holidays so we want to make it fun and special. She mentioned Outer Banks to me but I’m not sure I really want to travel and be somewhere else on the holidays. I want to start some family traditions for Iyah this year. We never had those at home since my parents were never the gift giving type and we didn’t have family traditions too so I’m starting from scratch here. In a way that’s a good thing I guess.
I took these photos last night right after dinner. I can’t help but smile while looking at them, can you see how much the little girl looks like her dad? That’s them bonding, lol. She loves imitating what we do so when she saw her daddy using my laptop she quickly got her leap pad and sat beside him to play. Of course when mommy saw this I had to get pictures.
I was browsing online for possible gift ideas for the little girl on her birthday and I found some that I like…
Grow-With-Me Kitchen from Fisher Price. A little girl needs her own kitchen and this one is really cute. I know she will love this one since she’s into pretend play or playing on her own now. Since she likes imitating me I bet she’ll have a blast cooking.
My First Dollhouse from Fisher Price. Who wouldn’t want to buy a dollhouse for their little princess? I’ll still search for other dollhouses online though but this one is pretty cute.Technorati Profile
Aquadoodle No Mess Mat from Aquadoodle. This one I will definitely get for her birthday. I know she will love it because she plays with her Doodle Pro everyday. She makes such cute face drawings and make up stories while she’s drawing too (I can’t understand what she’s saying though). I’m still looking for other options, I still have a few weeks to decide. I’m also thinking if it would be good to get the home theater sconces my husband wanted to buy when we go to the mall and checkout the toys. It could until Christmas though but maybe we’ll have a look if there’s a sale.
It’s no fun when you’re baby is constipated. We had to deal with this again last Monday. I feel bad for the little girl but there’s really nothing I can do but help her and pray she’ll be able to “go” and we didn’t have any luck last Monday. When this happens she gets a little bit clingy and sometimes she cries because she is trying to go but she couldn’t. Even at bed time lighting was on so we could check if there was any progress. So Tuesday we did everything we know to help her and thankfully it was a success (lol). I hope this doesn’t happen again anytime soon.
I haven’t shopped for the little girl’s toys yet. I plan to get her a few for her birthday but I want to make sure I won’t go overboard (like I did with my clothes and shoes shopping a few weeks back) because I know she will receive a lot of presents on her birthday. I’m still searching online for possible gift ideas. The article on Great Gifts for Two Year Olds came in my mailbox this morning and I was thrilled. I also got an article about Lipozene reviews but that’s not really my interest at the moment. I have this week to keep looking online and them maybe we’ll visit Toys R’ Us this weekend and see what toys does she like there.
The scene…
Mommy carrying the little girl on her lap while checking her emails…
Mommy is singing (out of tune of course)…she is singing rather loud because no one lese is home but her and the little girl.
Mommy is still singing when suddenly the little girl said “ssshhhh sssshhhh” with matching hand gestures followed by “qa-yet.”
Mommy was stunned! It seems the little girl didn’t want to listen to mommy singing anymore.
ROFL.
Today is the first day of October, the little girl’s birthday month. In about two weeks time she’ll be officially two years old. She is also scheduled for her yearly checkup and I am also looking forward to seeing her pediatrician to find out how she’s doing. I’m a bit concerned about her weight since she is a picky eater so I would like to find out if her weight is below average for her height. She’s doesn’t get sick though so I guess she’s fine, we mommies just worry about these things. Going to the doctor made me think of our health insurance. I’m not sure I could compare it to NC health insurance but I think we have a good one too. We don’t get sick often but I like to think that we have a good insurance just in case.
Now how cute is this suitcase for little ones? Of course this is suitable for bigger kids but I love the idea of them having the little girl having her own luggage to pack and ride one when we go for vacation. I found this UK based site while I was browsing for affordable outdoor lighting yesterday and I just have to share it here for other mommies to see.We plan on going for a family vacation on Chinese New Year next year and something like this would come in handy for taking the little girl’s toys with us on our trip. Since it is also hand luggage approved we won’t be having any problems keepin all her favorite toys with us on the plane.
