14 NovAll About Iyah

She’s been amazing us constantly. I still feel bad about not posting a lot here but I’ll try to make up for lost time…

Of course every parent thinks their child is smart and beautiful and I’m one of those parents (love your own di ba). Since she’s our first everything she does is just plain amazing to us, we don’t have anyone to compare here with (not that I want to do that of course).

She can recite and identify the letters of the alphabet. She likes looking at my shirt and telling me the letters she identify. We’re working on the lowercase letters right now as she is more familiar with the uppercase letters.

She can recite and identify numbers. She’s still forgets some numbers from eleven to twenty but she’s getting better in pronouncing them. She can identify numbers one to ten.

She can identify common animals such as dog, duck, cat and imitate the sound they make.

She can identify shapes. She knows some of the colors too such as pink, yellow and purple.

She convey what she wants to say more clearly. For instance…

Daddy wer? Daddy are youuuuu? = Daddy where are you?
Daddy wer?
Wow coooo = Wow cool!
Oh noooo! Happen? = Oh no! What happen?
Mommy here! Mommy here! = Mommy come here!
Pweeese = please
Teyk Ker! Ha fun! = Take Care! Have Fun! (She hears this all the time from me)
O ayt = Good night
Siiit Down = Sit down
Bubash = Tootbrush

She can identify and name her the characters in her favorite shows such as Barney, Beejay, Bebe Bop, Minnie, Mickey, Pocoyo, Pooh. She love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Barney, Tigger and Pooh right now. She prefers Mickey Mouse over Barney these days.

It’s fun when she’s watching the shows because she laughs at the funny parts (always fun to hear) and gasp on the mishaps (she will really say Oh no!) and dance when there’s dance routines involved.

She’s still a picky eater although her weight falls in the upper 50% margin so we’re not worried and so is her pediatrician. She loves chicken rice, any soup (miso soup, cream of mushroom and clam chowder are her favorites), fish, french fries, bread, biscuits. She loves drinking juice so her daddy would make papaya or watermelon juice for us and we let her drink from the glass.

She already ate her first peanut butter sandwich. I waited until she’s two before I let her try one and she’s okay with it.

She now wears a size seven shoes. I think size six will still fit her but it does look small on her.

She still takes three hour afternoon naps and sleeps a bit late.

That’s all I have right now.
