Of course she had to wear polka dots
I also bought matching bows which turned out so cute. This little girl loves her dresses (and of course mommy too).
As a stay at home mom I am in charge of my daughter’s well being everyday. And as a mom to an active toddler it can be a challenge sometimes. She is just so active and into the whole climbing up the furniture these days that it is scary. My husband and I talked about baby proofing even before she started crawling because I knew we would be facing some scary days ahead. We didn’t get Baby Gates since we don’t have stairs to block but we did get a lot of Cabinet Locks especially in the kitchen with all the cleaning supplies. I know parents are concerned about child safety and just like any parents we’ve taken precautions and spent a great deal of effort in making sure our home is safe enough for our daughter. Of course I also know that accidents can happen and that is out of my control but I find comfort in knowing that we did what we could.

My little girl definitely has a Merry little Christmas. We spend Noche Buena with our friends and of course she had lots of kids to play with. There was lots of food too, we were all stuffed when we got home. Come Christmas day after hearing a mass we got home and opened presents. The little girl had lots of presents as usual, she smiled for the camera until she found a toy she liked and started playing…no more pictures after that.
My little girl enjoys reading, though I she certainly can’t read the words yet she is fascinated by the pictures. She has a lot of books, some were gifts the rest I bought for her and she likes to go through them everyday. I do have to pick up those books lying everywhere at the end of the day but I don’t mind. I like watching her immersed in what she’s reading, looking at the pictures and babbling non stop as if she’s telling me the story and not the other way around. Speaking of reading I’m considering getting better lighting in our bedroom. She still reads at night and I want to make sure what we have is just right so it doesn’t cause any problems to her eyesight in the future. I see lots of kids her as young as four years old already wearing eyeglasses and I want to avoid that for my little girl if I can help it.
We got this from the mail last night…

Oh so cute! Iyah love Minnie Mouse and this pair is so adorable! I love getting her new clippies and bows and this is a great addition to my Iyah’s collection. Now I’m looking for a minnie outfit to match this pair of clippies.
Thanks Tita Mai! Mwah!
It is amazing how little brains work and my daughter never ceazes to amaze me everyday.
Mommy (just finished doing a project): Okay Iyah Mommy’s done.
Little girl: Hurray! Yu didit!
Mommy (carrying the little girl by the window): Oh there’s a car, say bye bye to the car.
Little girl: Bye! See yu later guys!
Daddy (playing one of his computer games and Iyah just sat on his lap): just watch me play for a while okay…
Little girl (watching daddy play now): Wow! Amazing!
Mommy (sitting by the bed) Iyah playing with her car and hit mommy’s knee…
Mommy: Ouch you hit my knee.
Little girl: Oh no! Sowee!
Ahhh our house is filled with conversations like these…
There’s certainly no baby talk in our house. We talk to the little girl the way we talk to grown ups. I don’t think baby talk will help her improve her vocabulary, it might be cute but it’s not gonna help her. We do keep it light and simple and she seem to pick up words easily these days. Of course we don’t ask her to say words like Ephedrasil hardcore but she could say a three syllables word now.She also picks up words from TV, it makes our conversation more fun.
Our Christmas party last Friday was a huge success. Lots of our friends came and oh my the food was great, there was a lot of food and we were stuffed! My idea of losing a few pounds is out the window again, I think it would probably be best fo stall that idea until next month. There’s going to be a lot of food during the holidays and I’m not gonna be able to resist. I might even need ef=”http://www.sybervision.com/reviews/Review-Orovo-Detox.php”>Orovo detox afterwards with the amount of fatty food and sweets I’ll be consuming (lol). I’ll try to be good but it’s most likely I’ll give in once I see the turkey or that cassava cake. What can I do it’s Christmas season right…
I’m debating whether or not I will bring the little girl’s backpack for the trip. It’s not the Samsonite luggage in the photo here although I’m sure she’ll love having one of these because she adores Minnie Mouse. So we’re not going for a stroll at las vegas strip but we’ll be on the highlands instead and I thought it’s a good idea for her to have her own backpack with her snacks and jacket inside. She has several cute (and pink) backpacks that were given to her as gifts in the past and we’ve yet to use any of it. Maybe I could give it a try and hope it doesn’t get lost or something.

We attended a First Birthday Party last week and the venue had a huge indoor playground. Oh the little girl enjoyed it so much, she didn’t want to leave. I let her play on the ball pool and then she discovered the small slide and she went to town, oh the look of delight on her face as she slides was just priceless. I was a bit concerned about the other bigger kids that were playing as well, fortunately they were careful around the little kids and mostly they at the other side of the play area. She did fell down and bit her lower lip when she was running but hey you can’t prevent that from happening. She cried a little and went back to playing so it was all good.
