Love these cute dresses from Gymboree. I’m so tempted to shop for new dresses and shoes for Iyah, these would look so pretty on her. However since I just shopped for her I have to wait a while before I do another major shopping, maybe when we’ve moved to the new house and I’ve sorted all her clothes and find out how many of her clothes doesn’t fit her anymore. Just the other I’ve noticed some of her pants are too short for her. Good thing I got her 3 new pairs and some shorts too. For now I’ll just window shop at Gymboree…
Found this at Etsy and I thought it would be so cute to have something like this for my little girl’s room. Too bad the seller doesn’t ship internationally or I would have ordered one already. I could just buy a nice frame for this print and hang it on the wall. I’m pretty sure it would be a breeze hanging this than aluminum fence installation. I wonder if I could so something like this using my scrapbooking supplies. I could just buy a big alpha set and arrange it myself. Maybe I should give that a try.

My little lady. She looks so cute in this outfit. We were headed to the mall that afternoon and on our way out I caught a glimpse of her just leaning on the wall waiting for me. Of course I had to take a photo. It’s hard to believe that she’s a little girl now.
Some people are coming over to view the house today. Since we’re moving out next month (to our own house) the owner is started looking for new tenants and today would be the first viewing of the house. Of course we had to do a bit of cleaning to make sure the house looks presentable. It was tiring but at least everything is clean now. I wonder how much work goes into cleaning one of those big steel buildings, our house is small and it already takes a lot of time to clean. Anyway I don’t intend to go anywhere today, I feel like lying in bed all day. Of course it’s not really possible when you have an active little girl who always wants to play. Oh well, maybe I can catch some snooze when she naps later.
Mommy: Do you want ____ (insert food or milk here)
Iyah: No thank you.
When asking for milk or snacks….
Iyah: Milk (or the snack she want) peeeese (means please)………….
Mommy: Okay stay here and I’ll get it for you
Iyah: Thank you mommy
When asking for a diaper change…
Iyah: (coming to me holding a diaper) Change a diapeee peeeese……..
These days she always ask us “what color is dis?” and points to an object or pictures in her books.
She loves watching Mickey & Friends, Little Einsteins and Pocoyo. She asks for Barney sometimes…
She knows the characters pretty well, even Pete from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Same goes for Little Einsteins and Pocoyo. It’s a toss between Mickey & Friend and Little Einsteins as a theme for her 3rd birthday.
She knows how to turn off the TV and fan in the afternoon when it’s time for her nap.
She makes a terrible mess of all her toys….several times a day.
She appreciates her clothes now, she’ll say “wow nice” or “betiful” when she likes what she’s wearing. Same goes for other things, like a necklace of mine that she likes a lot. I always get a compliment from her when she sees me wearing it.
I love having a daughter
Our first appointment with the good people of the HDB in a few weeks and after that we will be taking measurements and scouting different shops for the home fixtures and furnitures we need for the house. I’m not sure we need vessel sinks because the the kitchen is newly renovated but I have to take a closer look at the bathrooms to see if we need to change anything. It is a huge relief that we don’t need to do much renovation, it saves us the hassle of dealing with contractors. I’m looking forward to furniture shopping ![]()
My dad will be back home soon after ten months of being at see. I’m sure as much as he enjoyed his work and being on cruises nothing beats being at home with the family. Once he gets home they plan to come over here and visit us for a few weeks. I’m sure he’s excited to see his little granddaughter. He calls almost every week just to hear her sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Mr. Sun, Itsy Bitsy Spider and many more. I’m sure he’ll love her even more when he sees her in person.
Is not so little anymore
It’s great to see all the things she can do now but still she’s growing up way to fast. When you’re little one can say “no thank you” when you offer them something to eat you know you don’t have a baby anymore. It’s bittersweet for me, I love the age she’s at right now because we can carry out a conversation and I can understand her (most of the time anyway) but I miss having a little baby as well.
Here’s one of our latest photo….

See what I mean, she’s a little girl now….
