My little bookworm

Posted in Baby Memorables | No Comments »

Iyah loves her books. She loves picture books and short stories. It’s more fun now that she’s talking because sometimes she’s the one who is telling me about her books. Sometimes she would even pick out a book and read by herself. I think she’s more than ready to go to pre-school (sniff sniff). I’m looking forward to buying her more books soon. I should also buy her a nice bookshelf for her bedroom.

Keeping up

Posted in Baby Memorables | No Comments »

It’s so tiring to keep up with an active toddler. My daughter is just full of energy and she wants to play catch or hide and seek several times a day. The playground is another story, she loves playing there so much and she doesn’t want to leave, eventhough she is sweaty and sticky she won’t go home. I can’t finish reading an article about Colonix for instance because there’s another activity she wants us to do right away. I do love it though, even if at the end of the day I’m exhausted. At the end of the day I know that I spent lots of quality time with my little girl and at the end of the day I know what she learned something from our “playtime” and it makes me happy. No one said that being a mom is easy, I do know that it gives me a sense of fulfillment and so much joy.

Get the tickets

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

My  mom should really book their tickets soon. I don’t know why she’s waiting for my dad to come home before getting their tickets, Machu Picchu travel or not the earlier they book the better. It’s summer vacation and my sister was hoping she could stay here longer, too bad I think they will only be here for two weeks. I’ll just make sure she’ll have a great time here before she starts school again. I’m sure they’re all excited to see my little girl. It’s been so long since they last saw her and she’s grown a lot.

Busy Bee

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I can’t believe our big move is two short weeks away. We still have a lot of things to pack and lots of shopping to do. I love the shopping part but I dread doing the packing. The house painter will will come with us tomorrow for the final inspection so I’m hoping I could cross that off my list. We still haven’t picked out the colors yet but I’m hoping we will tomorrow. My husband is doing his research online on wireless security system while I’m checking out home decor blogs and websites.

Pretty Clippies

Posted in Little/Big Adventures, Shopping for Baby | No Comments »

These are some of the pretty clippies I found at Gymboree. I have lots more in my cart and I can’t decide which ones to keep, I might end up getting more than I should. Iyah has lots of clippies as it is but these are too cute not to buy. Her hair is longer now and I can tie it in a ponytail, loose ends come off eventually but still it’s a long way from the almost bald little baby girl of mine. I will order an clip holder from Etsy for all her clippies, I like to hang it on the wall but she might just play with them so I guess it’s better to hang it on her closet door.

When Shopping

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I’m not the best person to ask about surplus electronics and where to find them. I love to shop online and at my local malls but my shopping capabilities are limited to clothes, shoes, accessories and baby items. I don’t know anything about discounted stores for electronics and other gadgets although I know you could get refurbished ones at a fraction of the original price. Oh and speaking of online shopping, I’ve resisting the urge to shop at Gymboree but I think I’m going to cave soon.

Chunky Crayons

Posted in Shopping for Baby | No Comments »

I love these chunky crayons. My little girl and I spend time doing different activities everyday and one of it is coloring. It is frustrating however that I can’t find those big crayons here. The normal ones break easily and I have to constantly replace her crayons. Good thing I found these chunky crayons at Etsy. These are made from upcycled crayons, 100% non toxic and has a flat back so it won’t roll off the table. It’s cheap too. Oh these comes in different shapes as well but this set is my favorite. Can’t wait for these to arrive at my doorstep.

Lose it

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I’ve been doing a lot of walking (not running because of the little girl) lately. I really want to lose weight so that I could at least look decent in my matron of honor’s dress for my bestfriend’s wedding in August. I’m making some progress and I’m happy about it. I know there’s lots of weight loss pills available in the market today but I’m not so sure which ones are safe. So I’m doing the old fashion diet (little or no rice, carbs and sweets) and I’m hoping for positive results.

On Makeup

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I’m going to get this palette from Everyday Minerals. I’ve been experimenting a bit on putting on makeup, and I’d love to give this one a try. I got the free sample kit from EM a couple of months back and I love their foundation. I also love their brushes. Since I’ll be using mineral makeup I hope I won’t ever need the best acne treatments. I wish I could do something about my oily T-zone though, I still haven’t found the right product to keep it at bay.

More memory

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

My little girl loves watching her favorite cartoons when she wants to relax after playing. She uses our netbook most of the time. It’s small so she can carry it around, it’s very convenient to bring as well when we go out. I told my husband we need a bigger laptop memory to hold more videos. She gets bored when we play the same videos over and over so we definitely need variety. I’m sure she’ll be happy when she finds out that she’ll have more choices. Yes at this age she tells me what she wants to watch.
