Whenever me and the little go out I often take her to Starbucks for a snack. This is a video of her eating her favorite almond butter cake and mango passionfruit drink. I don’t order my favorite frappuccino when she’s with me because she’d want one too. She thinks whipped cream is ice cream (lol).
Here’s a video of my little girl before at the salon. As you can see before she realized what was going to happen she was having so much fun playing. She thought it was just one of those kiddie rides and not a chair for kids getting a haircut.
I need to watch my diet again since I obviously gained weight when my folks were here. I can’t help it because we often go to nice restaurants to eat after a tiring day of sight seeing. My dad loves to eat to I took them to a different place each time. I think he’s most favorite was at Colours by the bay there we had lots of seafood. I know Phenphedrine could me but I’d rather not take anything right now. Let’s see if the good ol’ diet could help, it worked before so I’m going to try that first. I would also avoid desserts after each meal, it will be challenging since I love desserts but I need to if I want to shed all those pounds.
go get a chair…lol. Well that’s what my little just did when she wanted to turn off the television and couldn’t reach the power off button. We have one of those tv stands that can fit a stool at the bottom so it’s a bit higher than the normal ones you see so the power off button is out of her little arms’ reach. To solve this problem she then grabbed her small chair, climb on it to reach that button and finally turn off the telly. What a smart little kiddo! We love our tv stand because it was wide stainless steel legs which goes well with our sofa and dining chairs. Now I have to get two stools to put underneath it so we have extra seating when we have guests.
I really want to change our kitchen sink. It’s fine but I want deeper sink for washing bottles and pots. It is nice but the depth is not working so well for me. I wonder if zero radius sinks is a better choice. The siphon works well I think I mean I can drain the water easily and the finish is stainless steel which goes well with our kitchen. If I could just find one that has two deep bowls it would be perfect and it would be easier to wash my little girl’s milk bottles. It is not on our list of priorities right now but I’m browsing online to see which are the good brands I should look for when we do decide to get a new one.

My sweet little girl is now almost two years and eight months old. I kept telling myself she is growing up so fast but I’m loving this age as well (most of the time anyway). I love it because she’s talking in sentences now and I can have conversations with her. She’s one bright little girl and she continues to amaze me everyday….
Here’s some of the things she say:
Mommy are you okay? - this is when I was in the kitchen and I dropped something that made a loud noise. She came up to me and asked if I was okay.
Mommy what are you doing? - she usually asks me this when I’m doing household chores.
Mommy don’t be scared - it was raining and I the thunder surprised me and I gasped.
Mommy what’s happening? - I was talking to her daddy on the phone discussing something when she came up to me.
Gel it mommy, gel it…pweeese! - when something is out of her reach.
Where’s minnie mommy? Where’s hippo? Where’s leeyan (lion)? Where’s geeraf (giraffe)? Where’s pillow? Where’s cow? - sometimes before bed she wants all her favorite stuff toys with her, yes we can have a zoo in bed. Thank goodness most nights she just ask for her minnie.
I gotta drink ice tea mommy (and after drinking) Mmmmm deeicious ice tea mommy - when she wants a drink. It’s usually milo, iced tea or water.
Change diapee mommy, I got poop - no explanation needed for this one.
Mommy where are you???????? Come out, come out! - when she realizes I’m not beside her and she can’t see me, same goes for her daddy.
These are just some of the things she says these days. It’s really fascinating how their mind works. She never seize to amaze me.
I’m a SAHM and I love that I get to take care of my little girl and watch her grow. I get to see all her milestones and spend time with her everyday. I really hope and pray that I could do this with all my children. If I go back to work again however I hope I could fine a job that isn’t so stressful so I could go home before dinner every night and still be able to spend time with them before bed. I don’t think healthcare jobs would give me the flexible schedule that I hope to get. I might consider working part time or taking up a home based job if one is available. I know eventually I will have to think about this but right now I will enjoy being with my daughter.
I’m so excited because my bestfriend is coming to visit us next week. She’s going to be here for a week, I can’t wait to see here! It’s been a while since we last saw each other. I know she’s looking forward to this vacation too, I know she was suppose to go somewhere else because she checked Westgate but I’m so happy she decided to visit us instead. I’m looking forward to our endless chat, having coffee with her at Starbucks, and of course shopping! I’m going to take her to the different tourist spots of course but we will definitely spend a lot of time at the mall. There’s nothing like having your bestfriend for a shopping partner.
I really should take pictures of my little girl’s shoes, she’s acquired a lot of pairs for such a tiny little person. Okay so it’s me who buys those cute little pairs but I can’t help it there’s really a lot of choices when it comes to girl’s shoes. There’s Dansko for dress shoes (this is for grown ups though), Gymboree for those pretty sandals, Crocs for the comfy and colorful mary janes and Addidas for sneakers and rubber shoes and that’s just to name a few. Let’s face it women loves shoes, be it for them or their little girls. It’s just fun shopping online or at the mall.

I took Iyah to the salon for her first “real” haircut. Eversince she was a baby I was the one cutting her hair but it had grown to a point that I thought it’s time for her to experience a haircut at the salon. I took her to one which has a kiddy corner so she would feel more comfortable. The seats were little cars and there’s a TV with cartoons on to distract the little kids as they get their haircut. Iyah got scared when the stylist came, she didn’t threw a fit or anything but tears kept flooding her cheeks and she was calling me. I was holding her hand the whole time and telling her everything was fine and that it was going to be over soon. Well it was indeed over very quickly.

The little girl after her haircut. As a treat I took her to Starbucks for her favorite Almond butter cake and cookie afterwards. I think her hair is a tad too short but oh well it will grow back soon enough.
