These photos were taken after she calmed down from a tantrum. I gave her a bath and she wanted to play with her bath buddies but we were going to the grocery and was running a bit late so I told her no. She cried and cried from the bathroom to her room where I dressed her. It was really hard not to get frustrated with all the crying (nakakabingi) as I dress her but I managed to be calm and just hugged her and let her know she can play next time. Finally she said “kay Mom, thanks” and she’s all smiles again.
I let my daughter her favorite cartoons on TV. Our TV is pretty much glued to the Disney channel because I don’t watch a lot of TV myself. Since I watch cartoons with her I pretty much know all the characters and songs too (the songs are stuck in my head). I think the bright colors of the characters and the song and dance moves they do is what she likes most. She sings and dance with the characters most of the time, it’s so fun to watch. I wonder if an LCD HDTV will make watching TV a much better experience for us. Not that we intend to buy one in the near future, just thinking….

These photos were taken today before naptime. My little girl found a new love for fabric headbands. I bought a few from Gymboree a while back but it was too big for her head, I guess now it fits her perfectly. She likes it so much that she tries to put it on herself but of course it ends up looking like a blindfold and not a headband.
It’s amazing how much she’s grown. She doesn’t look like a baby anymore (although she’ll always be my baby). She talks in sentences now. She knows too many words to name them. I think 97% of the time we understand what she’s saying. There’s still instances when we can’t understand the word she is saying (which frustrates her and us) but most of the time we communicate effectively. She’s such a sweet little girl, I love getting lots of sloppy kisses and hugs from her. She would just come up to me and give me a hug and a kiss. She says I love you all the time. She started calling us Dad and Mom instead of Daddy and Mommy a few weeks ago, lol talk about growing up.
No instead of trying to watch what I eat do keep my weight down, I seek out recipes of desserts and eat at restaurants that serves yummy desserts. It makes me wonder if I would be needing diet pills soon (lol).

I got the recipe for this chocolate cake at Janet’s blog. It is so delicious I tell you, and it doesn’t require baking (yes you read that right no baking). All you need is a microwave and a mug to mix all your ingredients in and you’re ready to go.
When we were at the zoo we decided to rent one of their red wagon so it would be easier for us to go around the place. I wanted to take the normal pram but then the little girl (and hubby) wanted the red wagon so we took that instead. Yes it was very helpful indeed. The little girl sat happily in her fancy ride and we put the bags on the other end making me bag free to take photos. My daughter couldn’t be happier as her daddy pulled the wagon up the slopes, no need for rv insurance for our small four wheel vehicle (lol). Since we have the wagon with us we couldn’t ride the tram but it was fine. It was a good exercise for me ![]()

Iyah loves playing with these wooden blocks. When she gets tired playing with her other toys these keep her busy. I love watching what she builds, she declared that this is her version of “Bunny Town” and I can’t help but smile. It is fascinating to watch a child’s imagination at work. Sometimes she makes pirate ships or trains and sometimes these are just simply blocks to her. I play along sometimes but most of the time I just sit beside her and look at her creations.
Just some nice lighting fixtures I found at Ikea’s website this morning. I love pendant lamps in the dining area, it adds a nice touch to the space. We changed the existing pendant lamps when we moved in to our house because it was just too small for the space. Good thing my husband is quite handy when it comes to fixing things around the house. We got all the materials we needed at Ikea and he installed everything himself. I like it way better now, I’m hoping to get new shades on Christmas though, I’m eyeing on the shade on the right.
I need to drink lots of water and get 10 hours of sleep for a healthy looking skin but unfortunately I haven’t been doing both lately. I’ve been too busy designing that I miss several hours of needed snooze and if not for my day cream my poor skin will pay dearly. I plan to cut back on working until the wee hours of the morning this week, I just hope I would be able to stick to it. It’s true that sleep does wonders to our skin, if only I can have a regular sleeping time it would be great for mine too. Oh well….
My little girl is watching TV right now while I was browsing online and reading articles about colon cleanse. I let her watch TV especially when her favorite shows are on. It seems that our TV is always on Playhouse Disney, I rarely get the chance to watch the shows I want these days. I don’t mind though because my spared time is spent cuddling, reading and playing with her (of course doing household chores in between) and when she is playing on her own I do my work online. We sort of have a daily routine and I must say though it is tiring some days we are comfortable with it.
