Cute Kitchen Set

Posted in Shopping for Baby | No Comments »

This would be a great Christmas gift for my little princess. She won’t notice a new LCD TV but a pretty kitchen set like this will definitely make her so happy. I found this at a multiply site (I lost the url I hope I can find it again) but the thing is this item is not available here but back home. I have to check if this is not so heavy so I can ask my MIL to bring it with her when she come to visit us in December.

Her 3rd birthday

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

My baby girl’s birthday is in a few weeks and I’m busy looking for Birthday Party Invitations online. I’m just as excited as she is about her upcoming birthday party. I have it all planned out and it’s going to be a fun celebration.

It’s going to be a simple party here at home with our friends, I got everything we need to party. My little girl knows it will be her special day soon and I can see that she is just as excited as mommy. She knows that she will be turning three and when is her exact birthday if you ask her. Oh and she will ask for presents too (lol), she kept practicing how to blow the candle after singing the birthday song it is so fun to watch her.

Iyah’s 3rd Birthday presents

Posted in Shopping for Baby, Uncategorized | No Comments »

Iyah’s birthday is a few weeks away and I’ve been busy preparing for her birthday party and shopping for her birthday presents. So far I’ve bought these for our little princess…

I want to go to Toys R’ Us to to checkout the accessories they have. I plan to pick up a few to go with her new doll. I like the snack time highchair set, sweet slumbers bedtime set and all dolled up dressup set. I’ll buy her one or two more baby alive doll for Christmas more accessories would be great for playtime.

I also got her these Dora the Explorer playsets….

Let’s Go Adventure Schoolhouse

Let’s Go Adventure Minis Treehouse
There’s two other playsets but it wasn’t available at the store. I’m going to see if I can find the Fairytale Castle playset and the Animal Rescue Center playset at Toys R’ Us.

Lastly I’m going to buy her a big Minnie Mouse Plush toy which I think she will love. She likes a several cartoon characters but she loves Minnie Mouse the most. I think these will do for now, Christmas is only a few months away so there will be more time for more shopping :)

For Iyah’s Room

Posted in Baby Memorables, Shopping for Baby | No Comments »

I finally got the frames for Iyah’s room (at Ikea of course) and I was able to get some pretty patterned papers at my local scrapbook store. I cut them to size and placed each one on the frames. I love the end result…

I will ask my dear husband to put these on the wall exactly like this, I think it’s going to be pretty. Oh I haven’t had the chance to take pictures of the shelves we mounted on the wall of her room. I decided not to to with a specific them for her room, especially cartoon theme…even if she adores Minnie Mouse. Her room is a work in progress still but so far it looks nice. She have a nice extendable bed that can be adjusted from cot size to a single size bed. A storage unit with pretty baskets for her toys, shelves to display her stuff toys and the frames above for one side of the bedroom wall. We picked up a nice pink and girly rug and a pink bedsheet set too.

On Christening Invitations

Posted in Planning a Birthday, Uncategorized | No Comments »

My daughter’s birthday is only a few weeks away and I’m almost in panic. It seems like it was yesterday we were choosing Christening Invitations for her baptism and now I’ll be distributing her 3rd birthday party invitations. I think I’m doing pretty well but as you know most moms are always nervous when preparing for their children’s party. I can’t believe how time flew by.

Christening Baptism

Christening Baptism

It was great that there was a lot of choices when it comes to baby christening invitations. Even almost three years ago I was overwhelmed with the options I was able to find online. It was great that as a first time mom I was able to choose a beautiful invitation for my daughter. If you are a first time mom looking for baptism invitations you can visit http://www.announcements-shoppe.com/ and I’m sure you’ll find one that you will like, I know I did.

New Crocs for her

Posted in Shopping for Baby | No Comments »

These new Crocs are so cute! My little girl is going to outgrow her current pairs so it’s time for new ones. The thing is I already bought her five new pairs (at a bigger size) so these two cute pairs will have to wait until Christmas. Who knows maybe she’ll get one for her birthday, oh and speaking of birthday I’m finalizing the menu for the party. I will order from the same caterer on her first birthday party so I know the food will be great. I might need diet pill that works after the party now that I think about it, or I could just look at all the yummy food. I’m still on the fence on the cake though, I like two designs and I’m still undecided what to order.

Almost Three

Posted in Baby Memorables | No Comments »

I can’t believe my daughter’s turning three in a month. I know this gets said all the time but time indeed flies. My teeny tiny baby is going to be three years old soon! I’m right on track with the party planning (I think). We’re going to have a Luau Party this year, it’s going to be fun.

At almost three my little girl…
Knows her numbers 4396841, up to 40 she can recite it for us.
She’s talking in sentences, most of the time (I would say 99% of the time) we can understand her clearly.
She understands the concept of big and small, fast and slow, many and few and a lot more.
She knows her colors.
She is practicing writing the alphabet, so far she traces each letter in her workbooks. She can write A and H without a guide.
She loves animals, she can identify a lot of them in books, on TV or at the zoo.
She loves reading/browsing her books. I plan to buy her more books each month so she’ll have more to choose from.
She likes to paint, I love how her imagination works.
She is going to outgrow her current shoe size in two months.

I know I’ve missed a lot more but these are all I can think of right now.

Jingle Bells

Posted in Random Blurbs | No Comments »

I can’t believe Christmas is only a few months away. We might Christmas Holiday Invitations
earlier than usual this year. I’m sure there will lots of Christmas party invitations in our mail next month. I usually send out party invitations two weeks before the event to make sure everyone gets them on time.

I personally love getting Christmas party invitations, it’s my favorite holiday. My mother in law is going to spend the holidays with us and we’re excited to have her. Christmas is more festive with family around. This is also our first Christmas in our new home so it’s extra special.

Getting a job

Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I haven’t worked in an office for almost three years now so I have no idea what to tell my friend about employee background check when she asked me. She’s trying to find a job here since right now it seems to be the best option if you want a better life. She’s been working for the same company since she graduated from college and she doesn’t seem to be satisfied with her job and how much she earns. I’ve never worked back home (I got my first job when I moved here after college) but from what I heard it is really a challenge saving up when you’re not earning enough. Hopefully she’ll hear back from the companies where she sent her resume to then would get a few interviews after that. I’m keeping my fingers for her.

Decorating her room

Posted in Shopping for Baby | No Comments »

I found these prints while I was browsing Etsy for art prints for Iyah’s room. I think these are really pretty. I plan to purchase this set and hang them on her bedroom wall. I’m thinking just above the desk in her room. I don’t really want her room to be too babyish but I still want it to look girly and pretty. Character themed room is out of the question, she might not like Minnie Mouse next year and I don’t want to have to redo everything if that happens. I’m loving dandelions lately, maybe I’ll go with that theme…I’m not sure yet. Well that’s the reason while I’m still not done decorating her room, I can’t decide what to do with the walls. There’s also some shelves that needs to be installed so I can put up her stuffed toys. I’m thinking of buying a side table to put by the bed but until I decide what to do with the walls I’m not going to buy anymore furnitures.
