This Mega Bloks Dora’s Buildable Boots Treehouse Adventure is another Christmas gift from Mommy and Daddy. Another addition to her Dora mega bloks which she plays with constantly. I have to keep track of the pieces though so it won’t be scattered all over the house. She knows she needs to put her toys back in the toybox after she plays with them but you know how kids are, sometimes she ends up stuffing small pieces in drawers and under the bed too. Oh well mommy is here to clean up after her anyway….

I’m in the mood to shop for new sheets before we ring in the new year. It was indeed a good idea to send my mom all our old sheets, to make room for new ones. Most of the sheets I sent were barely used but I’m running out of closet space for them and I want to buy new ones so I gave most of it to my mom. I’m thinking we need allergy mattress covers this time just to be on the safe side. My little girl doesn’t have any allergy but it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

All the festivities and parties this Christmas season makes me feel tired. Oh I enjoy myself a lot but it can be overwhelming too. I take a break by surfing the net and reading up about health insurance in NC just to keep my mind off the food and the gifts. I can relax here a bit while the little girl is sleeping and everyone else are doing their own thing. Our annual Christmas party is tomorrow and I’ve wrapped all the presents for the kids, we’ll be bringing three huge shopping bags full of presents to the party. The little girl is coughing again (sigh), I hope she feels better soon.

This set would be another Christmas gift for the little girl from Mommy and Daddy. She loves playing with small toys so this would be a fun gift for her. She already have the Royal Nursery baby Snow White and Prince doll set so these new Kelly barbies would be a nice addition to her toys. I can’t wait to see her reaction when she opens her presents.

If I had limited funds I would have chosen to go to one of those cancun vacations for our honeymoon. We settled for Bangkok and Phuket Thailand which was a nice and memorable experience for us too but it would have been a hundred times better if we were on a white sandy beach somewhere in Mexico. I hope hubby and I could have a chance to go for vacation just the two of us, that might not happen anytime soon though but someday it would be nice to spend time together even for a weekend on some nice beach and just relax.

My little girl is not a big fan of going to her pediatrician. I think it’s the medical equipment that makes her uncomfortable because the nurses are all friendly and her pediatrician is nice too. There’s also lots of toys around for her to play with at the waiting area so she shouldn’t be bored nor scared. She kept saying she wants to go when we’re at the clinic. She doesn’t cry or anything but she do want to leave. I’m glad we’re over the vaccination stage otherwise I’m sure she’ll even be more afraid to visit the doctor.

I can’t wait to see the little girl’s face when she sees the Christmas light up at Orchard road, I’m sure she will be mesmerized by all the twinkling lights. I’m not sure I can compare it to Murray Feiss lighting but I’m sure it will be beautiful just the same. Now taking decent pictures of the Christmas decorations around Orchard with the crowd won’t be easy, I hope we get some nice ones I could use for my layouts. I think it’s better to go late afternoon when there’s still sunlight to take pictures go to dinner then go back for some night pictures, that way I’m sure I’ll get good ones to work with.

I’ve always wanted to take my family to one of those orlando vacations because I know this is something we would enjoy. Budget always get in the way so until now this is still on my wishlist. However with the contruction of Universal Studios here we might not need to go very far to enjoy a world class theme park adventure. I don’t really know when the completion date is but when it opens I will take our family there. It would be much cheaper since we don’t need plane tickets anymore, and with ticket prices at S$66 for an adult and S$48 for a child we could even check in to one of the five hotels (Hardrock Hotel being one of them) around the theme park.

December is here!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I’m so excited about the coming Christmas season, my MIL, mom and sister will be here to celebrate with us so it’s going to be a fun and memorable Christmas for us. I’ve started by Christmas shopping and Iyah is excited to see the Christmas tree up with all the ornaments and lights. I bought some Christmas storybooks which we will read every night all month, I can tell she’s going to love it.
