I’ve joined a few local forums a while back and though I don’t post much or ask questions I do like to read what others have o say. I find topics on skincare and other women issues (weight loss, motherhood, housekeeping, etc) very interesting. I like that I get tips and ideas from women like me. The other day there was someone asking for the best treatments for eczema and she got a lot of responses and I thought it was nice that someone could come and post a dilemna and get a lot of suggestions and tips.

When we go to the mall I let Iyah choose a ride or two (or three) and she enjoys it a lot. Garfield was her pick for today, as you can see she hearts the orange cat. She looks so cute here with her backpack, we went to the mall after her class and she was happy to carry her backpack the whole time (Mommy is so thankful).

I was hoping a package was waiting for me when I checked the mailbox this morning but instead I received a few life insurance quotes in the mail today. It’s good though I have inqured about this from a few agents last week and they were fast in sending me the quotes. I’ve ordered a few items from ebay and I received all of them but one and it’s been almost a month and it’s really unusual. I often get my package 10-14 days from when it was shipped and this is the first time this happened. I might contact the seller by the end of this week if it doesn’t arrive yet.

I love taking pictures of my little girl and I’ve taken a lot of pictures of her over the past few years. It’s nice to look at them and see just how little she was once and how much she has grown. These photos would make nice photo cards that I can use for Christmas or Easter although I haven’t tried doing it in the past. I do use these photos to scrapbook and tell stories of my family so I get to use them to make something meaningful. I would however consider making cards to send to loved ones in the future so they can see our photos too.

We stayed in one Saturday and I had to think of activities Iyah can do at home. We had the usual story telling, coloring and such but today I let her do jigsaw puzzles too. She had so much fun and only required very little help from me. She loved finding the pieces that go together and of course it’s Disney Princesses so she was delighted to see the finished puzzle.

We passed by this nice furniture store at the mall the other day and I can’t help but admire the nice tv stands they have on sale. We don’t need one because we have a built in TV console though so there’s no reason for us to buy. I also don’t like having a TV in the bedroom because it would be harder to let the little girl go to sleep so it’s not an option. Still it was nice to window shop, we had a lot of fun furniture shopping when we bought the house.

So I got a great birthday gift from hubby and now I’m thinking what to give him for his birthday. I was thinking of getting him a ps3 but lately he’s been telling me that he wants to have a Macbook. Now I’m not sure about this because we already have a laptop and netbook so I’m going to see how much he likes to it. He likes playing video games so a gaming console would be something he could really use. Ohhh we could even play as a family and I’m sure everyone will have a great time.

My husband gave me a new phone for my birthday, it was an advance birthday gift as I got it last month. I wasn’t suppose to get an iPhone but a Samsung Omnia II but it was out of stock when he placed the order so I got the iPhone 3gs instead. It was a blessing in disguise because I love my iPhone. I was debating whether to get the extended service plan or subscribe to a new line and ended up signing up for the data bundle. I have internet access everywhere now, I don’t need wifi anymore which is great. Now I’ve been buying cases on ebay and I’ve collected a few, ohhh and iTunes gift card too for the apps and music.

Happy Hearts Day everyone! How cute is my little princess in her Valentines Day shirt?! We didn’t do anything as a couple today, it is the first day of the Lunar New Year anyway so most stores are closed and it is more fun to go out as a family. We had a nice family dinner at Seoul Garden and we were so full afterwards (the buffet was totally worth it). We went to Timezone after dinner and Iyah had so much fun playing at the arcade. We got a card and we will definitely go back there next time.

I love being a SAHM and it is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had but sometimes it is overwhelming and stressful. I’m thinking I should get best best anti wrinkle cream now because I feel like all this stress will make me age faster. It’s just hard to find balance between nurturing this precious little girl and all the other things I need to do. I get so caught up in all those other things that I feel like I’m not giving my princess my 100% and that makes me sad. I know she’s not going to be little forever and I have to be there for her, so I everyday I try to be the best mom…sometimes I fail but I keep trying anyway. She deserves the best and she’s everything to me.
