I let my daughter watch TV, most of the time our television is glued to playhouse disney and I’m okay with that. I do limit the number of hours she watches TV but I don’t think it is bad that she watches educational shows (definitely no ads on iQ derma reviews). Anyway she moves on other activities once she gets bored sitting on the sofa so I’m not worried about too much TV. I guess when it comes to things that concerns our precious little ones it’s up to us parents to judge what is best for them.

So Iyah had her first Chinese New Year celebration at school. After a few minutes of crying (more on that later) I left her with the rest of the nursery class to celebrate. I’m quite excited because this was her first class activity at school and almost everyone came in their ethnic costumes. This was Iyah’s Qi Pao dress that I’ve been talking about, it was a little too long for her but size 3 was a bit tight around the neck and armholes so I got the next size. Anyway she still look adorable in it. After the celebration all us moms decided to have their pictures taken at the playground (it’s good that they love to take pictures too) and we had some cute photos of the kids. I even had a photo of her and her teacher. All in all it was a nice day, I’m looking forward to the long holiday!
I love these cute and girly dresses from Gymboree, and these are on sale too (how awesome is that?!). I’m not going to shop anytime soon for the little girl because she got lots of clothes last Christmas but I still like to browse my favorite online stores every now and then just to see the new arrivals and sales. It’s much more fun to see pretty dresses than read colon cleanse reviews but I did look up both this morning. The new arrivals at Gymboree are so pretty too but I’m always drawn to the sale items, when I shop there I don’t buy at full price. I’d rather get more pieces on sale ![]()
So this Friday the little girl will have their Chinese New Year celebration at school. This is her first school activity and I’m quite excited. Looks like the Qi Pao dress I bought her solely for the purpose of taking pictures will be put to good use. I think it would be nice for her to know more about CNY and how it is traditionally celebrated, I don’t know much about it just like I don’t know a thing about nodular acne. After their activity at school it would be a long weekend for us, she doesn’t have to come to school until Wednesday next week (sweet!).
I have been so busy again to update this blog, sigh I wish I could write more especially since this is a blog dedicated to the little girl. Anyway I need to better manage my time so I can do the things I need to do more efficiently. The little girl takes up most of my time of course, we do activities here at home to add to what she is learning from school and so far she’s doing well. I spend time researching online for fun worksheets we can do that I forget to read up on quick weight loss treatments that might actually help me (lol). Anyway the princess comes first so my excess fats can weight ![]()
When she wants to tell me something: Mommy, I have to tell you something….look at me mommy. (She wants eye contact when she’s talking to me)
When I’m starting to get frustrated with her for one reason or another: Don’t be mad Mommy, Iyah loves you (I instantly lose all my frustrations).
When she goes to class: Bye, see you later Mommy.
When she spills water on the carpet (she would proceed to cover up what happened by attempting to clean up) and I ask her what happen: Oh it’s nothing.
When the door closes and there’s a loud bang I would ask her, ” What was that?!” she would answer: Don’t worry Mom it’s just the door.
When she wants her two small pillows all for herself and I ask her, “What about Mommy?” her reply would be: Oh we’ll get you a new one Mom. Let’s ask daddy for money.
Iyah thinks her Daddy has the answer for everything, especially when money is needed…lol. These are just little snippets of our daily conversations. It is so much fun talking to her, she constantly surprises us with the words coming out of her mouth….it is amazing how her mind works.
My daughter have always been on the petite side, she’s growing steadily but on the 50% percentile (slightly below actually) of the growth pattern on her baby book. I don’t mind of course since being petite is in her genes, as long as she’s growing and healthy I’m a happy mommy. We don’t need any human growth hormone thank you very much (lol). This is one of those things that is beyond my control so we just hope and we pray that our daughter be always in good health which we’re thankful that she is.

Iyah love the kiddie rides at the mall. I always keep $1 coins in my wallet so if she sees a ride she likes I don’t have to search everywhere for coins. It helps that there are coin changing machines at some malls too, comes in handy when I only have bills. As you can see from the pictures above she really likes the rides, I do limit her to 2-3 rides each time and after that I will tell her I don’t have any money left to which she will reply with, “It’s okay let’s ask daddy for money Mom.” My daughter thinks her dad has the answer for everything, lol.
