Iyah loves the cinnamon sugar pretzel sticks from Auntie Anne’s. Whenever we go to the mall and she sees one she is sure to ask us to buy her one. She’s fine with the normal pretzel but it’s less messy when she eats the pretzel sticks instead. We usually stop by Auntie Anne’s for her snack time and for us to rest our tired feet. She’s a patient customer too, usually we have to wait for a few minutes for the pretzel sticks because they don’t make a lot of them like the normal pretzels but she sits there quietly or sometimes she plays with my phone.
I woke up with a headache today and it is proving to be a major hassle for me. I’m suppose to be doing something today and I can’t do it with this headache bugging me. I can’t focus and I definitely need to lie down for a while and wait for the medicine to kick in. I just wished I didn’t have a deadline today, I just can’t function with my head pounding like this.
When you have an active toddler who keeps you on your toes it is better to know what is thebest wrinkle cream out there because sooner or later you will be needing it. I love my daughter to bits but sometimes keeping up with her can be really exhausting. She loves to play with her at school an usually they do it after class because some of her friends are in a different class. So we mommies have to let them run around for a bit before we head home. And my little girl doesn’t like it when it’s time to go home.

We went to the birdpark this weekend and of course the little girl had a great time. We originally wanted to go to the science centre but as it turns out you can’t purchase tickets onlineth same day you are visiting the place so we decided to go there some other time. Anyway when we got there Iyah scrapped her knee just as we wee entering the birdpark, yes we haven’t even gotten inside yet! She got over it pretty quickly though so everything was fine. We rented a red wagon which she loved and it was great for us too because we didn’t have to carry our bags.
When I see nicely renovated bathrooms online or in magazines I wish I can have one of those walk in tubs in our own bathroom. It is not feasible with our layout but still a girl can dream right? Lol. I would like to change the bathroom and shower doors sometime this year though, that’s as far as I can go when it comes to changing it up…for now anyway. It’s more of a want than a need at this point, everything at home is looks pretty new and well maintained so it’s not on top of our priorities at the moment.
I know it’s only April but I’m starting to think of what we’ll do for the little girl’s 4th birthday party this year. We will have a party with friends at home like last year and this will be the first time we’ll have a small party at school too. Now that she’s in school I’ll be preparing for a class party as well. Good thing we’re going back home in July I can shop for loot bags and other party items there (where it is much cheaper), I might get custom hats for the kids too. I’m thinking if I would do one them for both parties or come up with two, it depends what items I can find for the loot bags and cake designs too.
I haven’t taken a lot of picture of our house. I know I wanted to do a mini album entitled “Pieces of Home” one day using pictures of the different things/furnitures that makes this house our home but I felt like I’m not done decorating yet so why take pictures now? I got the answer when I went home one day after dropping Iyah off to school. It was quiet and I thought to myself, I’m never really going to “get done” decorating this house so why not just take picture now. And so I did…
Here’s the little girl’s room…

I have so many ideas for my daughter’s room but so far this is what she got. I like it but there’s so much room for improvement. One thing is for sure her room doesn’t have enough space for all her toys. A lot are in storage because I want her to have ample space to move around.
I have often admired houses with sprawling gardens, beautiful landscapes and stylish outdoor décor at their backyard. Back home my mom have a lot of orchids in her small garden. Here we don’t have a garden so I don’t have a need for ourdoor furniture nor do I have the desire to take care of plants. I’m just saying I like looking at beautiful garden not actually have one to take care of myself (lol). Oh speaking of garden, I’m thinking of taking the little girl to the botanical gardens this weekend.
I was cleaning up our drawers yesterday and I saw our save-the-date magnet in one of the file folders. I can’t believe we gave aways these magnets almost five years ago. I remembered how fun it was browsing at wedding invitations online and on the bridal magazines that I bought (and I bought a lot). Wedding planning was really fun, I got a ton of information online and I had help from our wedding coordinator. It took us a year to plan the wedding and it worth it.

Our afternoon agenda: practice writing letters, play with playdoh, read a book or two, play some more and then nap time.
We practice writing letters at home, usually I make her practice the letters they would be tackling next at school. She’s doing great, I don’t put too much pressure on her and I really try to make learning fun for her especially at home. She still needs to practice more on how to hold the pencil properly but she’s great in tracing letters. It’s not 100% perfect all the time but at three I’m pleased at her progress.
