School vacation doesn’t mean all play and no work for the little girl. Well it’s not really work, Iyah likes to practce letter writing, color pages on her coloring books and read stories in between her playtime. I know kids lose interest in learning activities if you try to make them do it longer than they can take so I try to include these activities in between playtime. She doesn’t complain, she’s actually more enthusiastic if I don’t force her but rather ask her what activity she wants to do. If she wants to color, we color together, if she’s up for letter writing then I give her a pencil and her workbook. I just make sure that at the end of the day we’ve covered our bases. It’s not stressful for her and more and I get to have a happy toddler enjoying her school vacation at home.
