My daughter never fail to make me laugh, sometimes not intentionally but she makes me a happy mom all the same. I love watching her go about doing things on her own, playing imaginatively with her toys or reading a book…it’s so fun to just observe her. I won’t need wrinkle cream because she makes me happy too. She’s at the age where we can have sensible conversations and sometimes I’m amaze at how much she understands when it comes to the world around her. She would pause and collect her thoughts before responding to what I just told her and I would be left smiling because of her thoughtfulness and honesty.
One of our conversations the other day….
Little girl: (Upon hearing me cough again) Mom what’s wrong?
Me: I have a cough, my throat is itchy….
Little girl: (In deep thought) Ohhh….here’s an idea! Well you can take your medicine then you will feel better.
Me: Okay I will, thanks for reminding me.
It is great being a mom.

Iyah woke up from her nap and told me she wants to be Ariel (the little mermaid), what?! We don’t have an Ariel costume so I told her she can be Snow White instead, I’m glad she agreed. Looks like I should she’s now into playing dress up and I should get her more dress up clothes.
So there she is dressed as a princess eating oreos for her snack.
I love my cookie eating princess ![]()

Iyah took this photo by herself using my phone. Not sure if she set the timer or just pressed the shutter…
I sure am raising a little girl who loves the camera. Friends would often comment on how comfortable she is front of the camera, true enough my girl will strike a pose and smile if she sees one pointed at her. I guess I’ve been taking lots of pictures of her since she was born that this is no longer something new to her. I don’t mind of course because I get nice pictures all the time.
It gives me joy whenever my daughter comes up to me and say “I love you mommy” just because she wants to. I would always say that I love her too and give her a kiss. This happens several times a day and it’s unexpected most of the time. Like when we’re coloring together or I’m helping her wash her hands or when we’re lying down and chatting.
My little girl, I love you too.
I’m so happy that my little girl is a happy and healthy toddler. She gained a little weight and now her cheeks are fuller and I just want to pinch those chubby cheeks of hers. It’s good that I don’t need the best whey protein powder now that she likes to drink her milk again. She went on a phase where she didn’t like to drink milk at all and that got me worried. She is such a picky eater that she needs milk to supplement her nutrition, thank goodness now she likes milk again. I do hope one day she’ll learn to love food as much as I do, she can gain all the weight ![]()

Whenever we go to the mall Iyah and I always go to the bookstore before we head home. She likes browsing books as much as I do and it’s fun because I get to browse all I want and she gets to sit in a corner and read books. She usually picks up a book or two and stay at the kiddie corner where there’s small chairs for her to sit on. At Page One in Vivo City she likes to go up and down the the stairs, it’s a big bookstore and it’s one of our favorites.

Smile Mom! I heard you say and when I looked back there you were holding your camera and taking a photo of me. And like any real photographer you quickly reviewed the photo afterwards, hehehe it’s so funny watching you mimic what daddy and I do. I got you this camera a while back and since you’ve been taking pictures, mostly of your toys and sometimes daddy and me. This was the first time I had the camera close by so I was able to take pictures of you as well. I hope when you grow up you would treasure photos as much as we do. I hope to share with you memories/stories about your photos as a baby. I’m sure that will be fun….

At almost three years old and seven months you are a thriving little girl. You absolutely love school and playing with your friends after class. You love to have conversations with us, telling us about your day at school or your favorite cartoon characters. You love to ask questions about anything and everything (hehehe sometimes it is tiring to answer all of them). You are independent and can be left on your own without causing any troubles. You are behaved most of the time and you have no problems playing by yourself. You know not to do the things you shouldn’t do and you’re quick to say sorry when you did something wrong. You know how to say thank you, please and say I love you and give mommy and daddy lots of kisses. When it comes to school you are doing well too, you have exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier. I do not want to pressure you about learning it all at nursery school but you’re learning so much. You love books and I couldn’t cheat when I read you a story and skip a few pages, you know it’s not the end yet and would ask me to go back and read the entire story. You love Littlest Petshop and asks us to buy you one when we go to the mall. You love staying at the bookstore too, you would sit at the corner and read books. You know how to give compliments (that’s a pretty dress mom, nice shoes mom, oh what a great watch dad) and you tell us when you don’t like something (this milk doesn’t taste good in my mouth).

Iyah loves the cinnamon sugar pretzel sticks from Auntie Anne’s. Whenever we go to the mall and she sees one she is sure to ask us to buy her one. She’s fine with the normal pretzel but it’s less messy when she eats the pretzel sticks instead. We usually stop by Auntie Anne’s for her snack time and for us to rest our tired feet. She’s a patient customer too, usually we have to wait for a few minutes for the pretzel sticks because they don’t make a lot of them like the normal pretzels but she sits there quietly or sometimes she plays with my phone.

When we go to the mall I let Iyah choose a ride or two (or three) and she enjoys it a lot. Garfield was her pick for today, as you can see she hearts the orange cat. She looks so cute here with her backpack, we went to the mall after her class and she was happy to carry her backpack the whole time (Mommy is so thankful).
