Thoughts on her birthday

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

My little girl’s birthday is just a months away and I’m already thinking about her party and the gifts we will get for our princess. The party will be small and we’ll get her a few nice gifts so wholesale diamonds is definitely not on my list. I told my husband we will be having a party with friends for her until her 7th birthday and after that we will just be celebrating with family. I enjoy planning her birthday (although I’m not sure my husband enjoys paying for it hehehe) and I love seeing the look of delight on her face having a special day for her. She changes her mind everyday on what would her birthday cake be, I’m set on having a Minnie Mouse party for her but right now she wants a barbie cake for her birthday (yesterday she wants an Angelina cake) so I’m keeping our options open for now.

She’s Three

Posted in Baby Memorables, Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

My little girl turns three today. Wow three years old already, the years few by just like that. It’s bittersweet for me because as much as I love that she is growing up to be this sweet, thoughful, smart and beautiful little girl I can’t help but feel a teeny bit sad that she is indeed growing up. I love her to bits and I love that she depends on me and needs me by her side all the time. If we could only freeze time even for a little bit, to savor each moment. I feel sad that I don’t get to blog about her, I don’t get to write in my journal all the little things she say or do as often as I should. I don’t have the all the exact dates of her milestones and I don’t know them by heart either. But I’m glad that I get to be there for her everyday, I may not write about it often but it doesn’t matter because I’m with her and I get to experience those precious moments and I get to see those milestones.

I’m being sentimental because by baby is now three years old. I can her her calling “Mommy where are you?” and I’m sure I’ll get a sloppy kiss and hug when she gets here. We have a party for friends later this evening, a small celebration for our little princess whom we love dearly.

Happy Birthday Iyah! Mommy and Daddy loves you!

Her 3rd birthday

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

My baby girl’s birthday is in a few weeks and I’m busy looking for Birthday Party Invitations online. I’m just as excited as she is about her upcoming birthday party. I have it all planned out and it’s going to be a fun celebration.

Birthday Invitations

Birthday Invitations

It’s going to be a simple party here at home with our friends, I got everything we need to party. My little girl knows it will be her special day soon and I can see that she is just as excited as mommy. She knows that she will be turning three and when is her exact birthday if you ask her. Oh and she will ask for presents too (lol), she kept practicing how to blow the candle after singing the birthday song it is so fun to watch her.

On Christening Invitations

Posted in Planning a Birthday, Uncategorized | No Comments »

My daughter’s birthday is only a few weeks away and I’m almost in panic. It seems like it was yesterday we were choosing Christening Invitations for her baptism and now I’ll be distributing her 3rd birthday party invitations. I think I’m doing pretty well but as you know most moms are always nervous when preparing for their children’s party. I can’t believe how time flew by.

It was great that there was a lot of choices when it comes to baby christening invitations. Even almost three years ago I was overwhelmed with the options I was able to find online. It was great that as a first time mom I was able to choose a beautiful invitation for my daughter. If you are a first time mom looking for baptism invitations you can visit http://www.announcements-shoppe.com/ and I’m sure you’ll find one that you will like, I know I did.

Baby Alive

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

This pretty doll is one of my little girl’s birthday gifts. I can’t believe her birthday is next month, I better start scouting for birthday presents. I found this on ebay which is great. The seller’s daughter got two of these for her birthday so she’s selling one at a cheaper price than Toys R’ Us (yay for a great find). The hispanice version of this doll could pass for a boy to me if you remove the hair clip. I don’t know if it’s just me, I mean put a tuxedo on it and it will really look like a boy (well that’s what I think anyway). I’m going to the mall this week to look for more gifts.

Party Time

Posted in Baby Memorables, Planning a Birthday | 2 Comments »

The little girl was busy playing with the balloon while the adults were busy setting up the table for her little celebration here at home. I loved this photo my husband took, she looked at him and he managed to click the shutter fast enough before she moved on and went back to chasing her balloons again. Ahhh photos like this make happy. Of course this will be on my scrapbook to do list (which is piling up) this week.

Yummy Cupcakes

Posted in Planning a Birthday | 3 Comments »

I want to make a separate post about Iyah’s birthday cupcakes because we loved it so much. Since the little girl’s real birthday and her birthday bash is so close together I only ordered 24 cupcakes (she’s 24 months old) because we will have a big cake two days later. I ordered from the same supplier we got last year. Only this year I chose a different design. The price was reasonable and they do home delivery which was great. If only I could find cheap t-shirts at this price that would be really helpful come Christmas.

More photos here.

It arrived an hour late but it wasn’t a big deal. Each piece looked really nice. The little girl kept calling it ice cream and wanted to have a piece even before her candle blowing. If I decide to have cupcakes for Christmas and not a log cake I will surely order from them again.

Happy Birthday!

Posted in Planning a Birthday | 3 Comments »

She’s officially two!!!

The princess is still sleeping and so is daddy. We have a busy day ahead of us that’s why I’m up early. I’ll cook a little feast for the family later and the cupcakes will be delivered this afternoon. Hoping for a nice weather so we can go to the rooftop garden for some pictures.

The day before…

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

Iyah’s birthday.

Everything is set, well almost.

  • Party stuff for tomorrow is ready. I didn’t find any pink balloons though so I just bought the multicolored packs.
  • Outfits ready.
  • Suppliers confirmed regarding the delivery timing and the food already pre-ordered.
  • Guestbook - six more pages to go (thank goodness it’s a small album).
  • Treat bags - the design is done. I will print and assemble everything tonight. I need hubby here at home so the birthday girl won’t try to take the treats for herself.

So far we have 18 kids and 7 babies confirmed coming to the party. It could be more :)

Iyah’s Birthday Week

Posted in Planning a Birthday | 1 Comment »

We’re just counting days now! Party planning updates…

  • Cupcakes for her real birthday already ordered and paid for. Delivery time also set.
  • Birthday cake for her birthday party already confirmed, cash on delivery. I can’t believe they allow this, I mean I owe them $240 for the cake. Delivery time also set.
  • Birthdays outfits of the little girl, on her real birthday and her birthday party - all set. We bought her jeans (a super cute one too) and sneakers yesterday.
  • Party stuff for her real birthday all ready except for the balloons. I need metallic pink balloons. I wasn’t able to find one at Toys R’ Us, they had pink and white balloons but it had doves printed on it with “Just Married” wording too so definitely not for us.
  • Grocery shopping for Iyah’s real birthday - scheduled Wednesday night.
  • Treat toppers, Guestbook - to be finished this week (yikes).
  • Invitation - sent last week.
  • I have to call KFC and make sure there is a designated area to park the strollers.
  • I know there will be a few coming with their babies on it. We will bring Iyah’s Mclaren too and we need an area for that won’t get in the way. Afterall strollers are really helpful towing a little one around. It is by far one of the most useful baby item we’ve purchased.

That’s all I can think of right now. We should be fine. Phew I get stressed out when the event is getting near, I hope all goes well.
