Gift Ideas

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

I was browsing online for possible gift ideas for the little girl on her birthday and I found some that I like…

Grow-With-Me Kitchen from Fisher Price. A little girl needs her own kitchen and this one is really cute. I know she will love this one since she’s into pretend play or playing on her own now. Since she likes imitating me I bet she’ll have a blast cooking.

My First Dollhouse from Fisher Price. Who wouldn’t want to buy a dollhouse for their little princess? I’ll still search for other dollhouses online though but this one is pretty cute.Technorati Profile

Aquadoodle No Mess Mat from Aquadoodle. This one I will definitely get for her birthday. I know she will love it because she plays with her Doodle Pro everyday. She makes such cute face drawings and make up stories while she’s drawing too (I can’t understand what she’s saying though). I’m still looking for other options, I still have a few weeks to decide. I’m also thinking if it would be good to get the home theater sconces my husband wanted to buy when we go to the mall and checkout the toys. It could until Christmas though but maybe we’ll have a look if there’s a sale.

Birthday Outfits

This really pretty pink tutu arrived was delivered to our house yesterday. It came with two customized shirts as well. I couldn’t find any cheap t-shirts but I’m so glad I got a custom made tees for the little girl instead. It fits her perfectly and it was nicely made. She will have a princess party on her actual birthday and she will wear this tutu and a tee that says “Birthday Girl”. On her birthday celebration I got her a custom made tee that says “I’m Two” and a comfy pair of jeans or a skirt with leggings maybe I’m not sure yet. I can’t believe that tomorrow is already October, her special day is just a few short weeks away.

Planning a birthday updates

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

Birthday clothes - checked. I ordered the little girl’s birthday outfits a few days ago and it should be shipped today. I do hope it fits her nicely and everything looks great.

Guestbook album - checked. We went to the mall yesterday and I stopped by my local scrapbook store and got me several chipboard albums including a scroll binder album which I will use for the guestbook. I also got the template to make the pages. I should start doing that.

Props for picture taking - got one and it’s a wooden number two. I have to decorate that with patterned papers then make a party hat too.

Birthday Planning updates

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

Nothing much, lol. I told myself this will be a laidback party and I don’t have to much this time around. I’m actually thinking about her party for her third birthday (hahaha way to early mommy) because by then she’s much bigger and can do a lot more things thus we can be more adventurous with the location and the theme. Anyway going back to her second birthday party, yes I’m not doing much at all.

  • I’m just about to order her outfit for her real birthday where we’ll have a small celebration here at home (just us). I plan to have get some nice pictures of her (complete with props) a few weeks before her birthday so we could use it for invitation, I’m not going to use the standard KFC party invitations afterall I’m a scrapbooker and I design layouts all the time.
  • I don’t have a design for the invites yet, I don’t have a girly jungle themed kit yet so I’ll wait a bit until the designer I CT for finishes the kit :)
  • I’m thinking about the giveaways. I know KFC will provide loot bags for the kids but I still want to make something more personalized to giveaway.
  • I haven’t started on the guestbook yet. Yes she will still have a guestbook this time around (eh bakit ba sa gusto kong may guestbook, ako naman ang gagawa…hehehe) and she will have one each year until she’s seven. That is if mommy doesn’t get tired of doing them.
  • I have to call KFC’s party hotline and ask them about the tarpaulin, if they will have one for Iyah or I need to order one myself. I don’t mind if it doesn’t have her picture, to be honest I prefer it that way but I need to make sure there’s going to be one.
  • I haven’t decided on the cake yet. Again I’m not going with the standard cake from KFC. I want a pretty cake even if it will cost me at least $200.

See my to do list is pretty short, I told you I won’t stress myself too much.

A little more shopping

Posted in Planning a Birthday, Shopping for Baby | 1 Comment »

For my little girl, yes more clothes. The toys will come later I haven’t even browsed toys for her age group yet. I got her a couple of dresses instead, my daughter is a girly girl and dresses are perfect for a girly girl like her…

Again everything is from Gymboree. Oh I got her a pair of flip flops too (eventhough I said I’m done shopping for footwear, lol). I can’t wait for all these new clothes to arrive at my doorstep. I will have to wrap these up too since they’re really her “birthday presents” and I’m excited about that too, I like wrapping presents :)

More shopping…

Posted in Planning a Birthday, Shopping for Baby | 1 Comment »

If you haven’t noticed by now I will say it, I love Gymboree! I do buy Iyah’s clothes from Baby Gap, Pumpkin Patch, Fox Baby, Mother Care and Elle but Gymboree is my favorite store of all. Why? they have the cutest clothes for a reasonable price. And I do shop a lot for the little girl so I need prices to be reasonable (lol). I started shopping for the little girl’s brithday gifts last week (see my first loot here) and I think I would buy a few pieces here and there until her birthday which is next month. I got some clothes here…

Just some cut tops, she has a lot of bottoms right now so I thought more tops to mix and match will be a better choice.

I also got her these two matching outfits. I couldn’t resist. Shorts and skirts are really comfy especially if we go to a park or at the zoo and not our usual mall hang out. She looks cute in them too. I snagged some of the photos online but I got all these at the online store. I’d like to post more of that I bought but it will be too much photos in one post (lol) I’ll save that for next time.

Let the shopping begin

Posted in Planning a Birthday, Shopping for Baby | 8 Comments »

Since my little girl’s birthday is next month I started shopping for her birthday gifts today. We’re having a smaller party compared to her first birthday that means I can splurge more on her gifts. Here are some of my first purchases…

These are all from Gymboree. Really cute but not that expensive at all. She outgrows her shoes rather quickly so if I like a design I order two in different sizes, that way if the other one is too small there is a another pair which will then fit her just fine. I got these online since there’s no Gymboree stores here yet. I would still checkout Baby Gap and see if they have anything nice and will definitely get her a new pair or Crocs.

Birthday Party Planning…
I’m looking for two nice birthday outfit for my little princess. The first one she’ll wear on her actual birthday and the other one on her KFC birthday party. I found some nice ones on line as well but since I haven’t bought any outfit yet I’ll save that post for later.

Planning a birthday 2

Posted in Planning a Birthday | No Comments »

It’s the first day of the month, wow can you believe it is already September?! Before you know it Christmas is upon us once again. My little girl will be two years old next month, woah how did that happen? Time flew! I was here with her every single day but then I blinked and soon she’ll be two years old. I’m not very much into planning each detail of her party this time around. Last year around June I was already checking out party supplies, buying them off Ebay and then getting them from the US to here. It was fun but it was a lot of work. This year we decided to have a simple celebration and splurge on shopping for the little girl afterwards. She had a great party last year but it took a lot of time, effort (and money) so we’ll be doing it differently this time.

I’ve already booked KFC for her party venue weeks ago. Yes her party will be at KFC, no fuss just plain ol’ fun and chicken (lol). It would be a Jungle themed party, I wouldn’t have chosen this theme myself but well they didn’t have anything else so I’ll just make it a bit girly through the invites and lootbags. There are invitation and lootbags included in the package but well I don’t like those so I’ll do my own…hehehe. I also didn’t get the cake from them, I want a 3d cake same as her christening and first birthday cakes so I’ll get it from my trusted supplier. It is so much easier this time because the package comes with the party host with games and mascot appearance, I don’t have to hire a clown like her first birthday. I think the cake will personalized the party a bit so that’s nice but aside from that everything will be easy going on my part. On her actual birthday we plan to celebrate a little here at home too, I’ll order a cute little cake she can blow and whip something up in the kitchen (I make good spaghetti) and probably order some takeout like pizza. I just didn’t want her real birthday to pass by without celebrating even a little bit.

I think that’s about it for now. I’m just browsing online for possible ideas I could incorporate to her party.
