I’ve been asking my husband what he wants to do for our anniversary next month, yes after twelve years I still want to celebrate the day we became a couple. So far I’ve been getting nothing from him, you’d think that he has a hearing aid and it needs hearing aid batteries because each time I ask him it seems like he doesn’t hear me (lol). I’m not expecting anything fancy but it would be really nice to go out just the two of us to celebrate. I love my kids but mommy and daddy needs to go on a date sometimes and it is possible while my MIL is still here.

18 JunKids and accidents
Kids will be kids and no matter how we parents try to protect them accidents just happens. A friend of mine recently had a huge scare when her daughter had a bad fall while rollerblading, they quickly rushed her to the hospital and she needed to have an aircast ankle brace for a few weeks. Good thing it is school vacation and she’ll have more time to recuperate and let her injury heal properly. As I’ve said no matter how hard we try we can’t put our kids inside a bubble to keep them safe, they need to play outside, enjoy the outdoors and with all that fun sometimes accidents occur and no matter how many times we remind them to be careful we can’t prevent it from happening. I wished we could though, there’s nothing more heartbreaking to a mother than to see her child in pain.
17 JunHelping out
In this economy people are making sure that they are skilled and competent enough to stay on their jobs. It is quiet unfortunate that sometimes when one becomes disabled due to work related accidents they don’t get the benefits and help they need and deserve. Good thing there is disability appeal and people who are willing to help them get what they deserve from their companies. Getting proper compensation will surely help them get back on their feet, they might not be able to go back to work soon so it’s good that they have means to pay the bills.
16 JunMy Eldest
My eldest daughter is now four years and eight months old today. Yes time crept up on me, now she’s this amazing and smart little girl when she was once a tiny baby like her sister now. Still I’m proud that I’ve been with her since the day she was born, the only time we were apart was the two days I was at the hospital to give birth to her sister. I may not record every little thing she did or say, nor blog about all her milestones but I WAS THERE and I think that’s what matters most. Before I had children I always thought I would religiously record everything about my children, in writing…on a journal or my blogs. I would say I was able to do that, not as much as I would have liked but I tried my best. I should try harder though now that I have two kids.
So about my eldest…
She’s sweet and very thoughtful. She would always say “I love you” to us and give us hugs and kisses.
She loves books, she will often go open the bookshelf and just pick up a book and read silently on her own. She knows she had to put the said book back where she got it afterwards.
She is strong willed, she have days when she can get a little stubborn but I’m also glad that she has opinions of her own and would express them to us. It may not always be right but I like that she is thinking and expressing herself.
She is a girly girl, she prefers to wear dresses but she would gladly wear whatever I put on her. She loves anything pink and never forgets her accessories. She will often ask me what shoes she needs to wear to match her outfit. She is quick to point out when what we’re (me or my MIL) wearing doesn’t match (lol).
She loves her little sister. She is a great help when feeding her or giving her pacifier when she’s cranky. She also helps me get the diaper and baby wipes when I need to change her sibling, however when she see a sign of a poopy diaper she will run in the opposite direction and fast.
She likes school, she’s doing great in all subjects except mother tongue. I don’t blame her as this is her first term learning mandarin. We’re just going to encourage her to do better next term.

25 MayLast week of school
It’s the last week of school for the little girl and we’ll have four weeks of school vacation ahead of us (yay!). Her school vacation started early though because she’s been sick since Monday night, poor thing she missed her field trip to the zoo today. I know she’s been looking forward to it but alas with fever and bad cough I can’t let her go. She missed her chance of going there with her teacher and classmates, they probably used bushnell spotting scope to see some of the animals too. I’m not sure she could even go to their school party this Friday, she might miss that one too. Oh well, it is important that she gets better first.
13 MayFlab be gone
I should really start exercising (or just get my behind moving every morning at least) now that it’s been a month since I gave birth. My confinement period is over and I can now do more to help me lose weight. I won’t be taking any of those top fat burners since I’m exclusively breastfeeding my baby but I can go for a walk or jog in the morning. If only I’m not so sleepy in the mornings, truth me told I’d rather catch up on sleep than to anything close being a form of exercise but I know I have to do it. My flabs won’t go away on their own so if I want to look better I should do something about it.
12 MayI’m clueless
I’ve been out of the loop lately, the baby takes up most my time that the other things I have to do gets thrown in the back burner or passed to hubby. If you ask me about the latest celebrity gossip or about oxytokin reviews I wouldn’t know anything about it at all. I feel bad that I don’t get to spend time with my eldest anymore, we really need to have some bonding time just the two of us. It will be wonderful to have a day out just the two of us. We both need it badly, just us and a fun day at the mall…maybe watch a movie and go shopping.
11 MayMagazines for Me
I love my tablet (although I really wish it would magically transform into an ipad 2 lol) and I’m so happy that now I can enjoy magazines once again. It’s nice that I subscribed to several magazines but it doesn’t clutter our home and I have them all with me at all times. The two magazines above are just some of what I have in my tablet right now and I think I will add a couple more in weeks to come.
04 MayIt’s nice here
I was talking about how nice our area is to my husband the other day. I really like it here and I know in the future I will see a steel building or two nearby as well as a shopping mall and more schools. I love how there’s a couple of playgrounds nearby for the girls and everything else is just a stone throw away. I have no complains at all where we live, I feel lucky even that we got our home when we did.
28 AprGetting another one
I will be needing a new EHD soon.
I have lots of photos and digital scrapbooking supplies and I add more of both every few days so I’m not surprised that my EHD is running out of space. My husband is in charge of getting me a new one of course as he knows more about these things than me, he has to do it or I might end up getting ordinateurs portables without knowing (lol). Anyway I have to backup my photos tomorrow before I switch to a new EHD to make sure I have duplicates of everything just in case something goes wrong.
